Across the United States, the roads are changing: Among the internal combustion engines that made Michigan famous are more and more electric vehicles. As the electrification of mobility picks up speed, a new vehicle supply chain is emerging to provide the batteries to build the future of transportation. To fortify its clean energy and automotive leadership, Michigan should solidify its membership within the Battery Belt through investments in mineral processing.
