Graphex Technologies is one of the largest producers of spherical graphite (SG), which is used to produce Li-Ion battery anodes. To obtain the high density required for battery anodes, natural graphite flakes are processed into super-fine, high purity SG in various steps. Graphex Technologies’ SG is characterized by stable quality and uniformity, which reduces the surface reaction of the electrode to ensure low irreversible capacity loss and long service life – ideal qualities for producing battery anodes. Due to its high tap density, high charging is achieved, and energy density is higher. We can produce various sizes from 6 µm to 30 µm, according to client specifications.
COATED SPHERICAL GRAPHITE
Graphex Technologies has expertise in the production and distribution of coated spherical graphite (CSG), used to form the Li-Ion battery anode. CSG is SG which has been further processed to enhance its cycle rate. The process includes pitch coating, carbonization, and demagnetization. Our range of CSG is suitable for both electric vehicle power battery and 3C applications. Our CSG material is characterised by high specific capacity and coulombic efficiency.
We have technical expertise in synthetic graphite and are a global distributor of the material through our Asian partners. Synthetic graphite is made from fossil fuels. Typically coal-based needle coke, is crushed, graphitized, and demagnetized to produce synthetic graphite. Battery makers use a blend of CSG and synthetic graphite to form the Li-Ion battery anode. Our material is suitable for a range of applications including EV power batteries, energy storage, general purpose, and high-end electronics.
HIGH PURITY GRAPHITE
Graphex Technologies’ high-purity graphite (HPG) which contains over 99.95% of carbon with less than 0.2% of moisture has excellent electric and thermal conductivity, resistance to corrosion, and superior chemical stability. Size is customizable to suit various applications. Key to our process is validating product excellence with uncompromising process and quality controls to ensure adherence to the highest standards. Major applications of HPG include magnesia carbon bricks, high grade refractories, stabilizers, carbon brushes, and fire-resistant composite materials.
Graphex Technologies refines high quality micronized natural graphite, achieving outstanding oxidation resistance under high temperatures, high lubricative and formability properties, good electric and thermal conductivity, and high adhesive properties. Applications include corrosion-resistant coating, lubricants, and other new composite materials.
